Kevin Maxie

Kevin Maxie, who returned to Tucson in 1997 and began his time as aa activist in 1998, tells of the creation of SAGA (Southern Arizona Gender Alliance) - a support group in Tucson for people of all gender identities. Maxie attests to the lack of organizations for transsexual individuals prior to the foundation of SAGA and the subsequent outpouring of support, offering a firsthand account of the difficulties involved in transgender education at various levels.
